sweet peas
first sweet peas of the summer

Wandering about the garden yesterday revealed this beauties – the first four precious little sweet pea blooms from the plants that I grew from seed earlier in the year. I squealed with delight, and immediately trotted back to the house for my secateurs. Moments later they were sitting in a jam jar full of water (there’s a serious lack of vases in my house…). I can’t quite settle on where I want to keep these precious first blooms, so since then they’ve been following me from room to room, brightening up my day and filling the house with the most delicious scent.

Sweet peas are an absolute favourite summer flower of mine and they really benefit from regular picking, so I’m hoping for a summer filled with many more!
